Welcome to Douglas Road Elementary

It has been my privilege to serve as an administrator at Douglas Road Elementary for the past eight years. During this time, our school has made tremendous academic growth, as reflected in both FastBridge and MSTEP scores. This success is a direct result of the hard work and dedication of our exceptional staff, supportive families, and outstanding students.

At DRE, we live by three core values: Be Kind, Be Respectful, and Be Responsible. These values are woven into everything we do. Expectations for learning and behavior are explicitly taught through classroom discussions and reinforced by student-created videos. Our mission is to ensure that every student and staff member demonstrates these characteristics each and every day.

To support this, we use consistent language and structured classroom lessons that help students internalize and apply these values throughout the building. We are proud to prepare students not just for academic success, but for lifelong learning. 

In addition to our dedicated educators, we are fortunate to have an incredible parent community. Our PTO works collaboratively with staff to organize memorable events such as the Scholastic Book Fair, Snowflake Shop, Masquerade Dance, and the ever-popular DRE in the Dark!

Together, we are building a school culture where learning thrives, kindness leads, and every student is supported to reach their full potential.
